PLEASE NOTE THERE IS SWIMMING TRAINING AT CLISSOLD ON MONDAY (06.00-08.00) AND TUESDAY (06.30-08.00) IN THE MAIN POOL FOR ALL SQUADS THROUGHOUT JULY AND AUGUST.

Clissold’s swimmers have swum the English Channel. Two teams of seven swimmers aged 13 to 17 all from Hackney have swum the English Channel in well under 12 hours. Daniel, Anna, Tom, Amina, Devon, Alice, Dan, Ciaran, Hannah, Caroline, Abi, Ella, Tao, Matilda established a beachhead at Cran aux Ouefs about a mile and a half west of Cap Griz Nez on the northern coast of europe.
Here are a few of them in their team uniforms sponsored by Stoke Newington First.
All Clissold swimmers successfully complete first cold water session in Dover Harbour.

Clissold Swimming Club is Hackney’s competitive swimming-club
taking young people from Hackney, Shoreditch and Stoke Newington and nearby
boroughs in London and giving them the opportunity to swim for fun, exercise
and to gain the skills and confidence to compete across a range of aquatic
sports. The club is affiliated to the Amateur
Swimming Association (ASA) through the London
Region
The club caters for swimmers working their way toward
a high standard of training for squad/competitive swimmers and on through to
masters.
The club is funded through its subscriptions. and its supporters’
contributions.
