Clissold’s swimmers have swum the English Channel.

On Monday 28 July 2008 two teams of seven swimmers aged 13 to 17 all from Hackney swam the English Channel in well under 12 hours. Daniel, Anna, Tom, Amina, Devon, Alice, Dan, Ciaran, Hannah, Caroline, Abi, Ella, Tao, Matilda established a beachhead at Cran aux Ouefs about a mile and a half west of Cap Griz Nez on the northern coast of europe.
