Swimmers need to develop a lot of good practices for care of their feet from keeping them warm at galas and dry after swimming to good care of their finger and toe nails. Short toe and finger nails reduce the risk of slashing and cutting other swimmers in the lanes and being taught to take a few minutes to dry their feet properly after sessions can help swimmers avoid athletes-foot and early-onset nail fungus. We aren’t talking about the full mani-pedi here, just simple good sense.”
