Following our very popular taster course we now have two active and well-attended Sunday morning diving sessions for young members at the Park Road Pool in Crouch End. We do though still have room for a few new members or old hands who would like to return to the boards. There are three Sunday sessions of this half-term block left (22, 29 March and 5 April) and any child who has not yet enjoyed a taster session can claim one for free. Subsequent sessions will be charged at £5 each. Classes for new divers run from 9.45 to 11am, returners or more experienced divers run from 10.45 am to 12.00pm. In addition, we are pleased to say we have now also managed to book Park Road for a six-week introductory diving course for Masters members. As with the young divers, sessions will be coached by Rick Dear who is a former national diving champion, and will range from simple poolside jumps and tumbles on up to straight, pike and tuck dives from the 1m board. Sessions begin with a 15-minute warm-up which Rick will insist upon to avoid pulls and strains. So don’t be late. The sessions will take place from 11.45 am to 1pm starting on Sunday 19th April and run until 24th May inclusive. The cost for the six sessions is £30, payable on 19 April.
