Report on 1st round of Arena League 10th October at Clissold Pool

This was our first Arena gala, and it was the biggest event that we have taken part in to date. We came 7th out of 8 teams, facing some very stiff opposition – it was very exciting to be part of a national league! Everyone swam well, with lots of PB’s and a few club records. Thanks to Chelsea, Alina, Matilda O’R, Dorothy, Rob for helping poolside, and to Karen and Matthew for doing splits. Congratulations to Jasper and Joseph for swimming in their first gala for Clissold.

Adam in Boys 11 and under breaststroke 50m
2nd places went to
Sarah in Ladies open backstroke 100m
Gabriel in Men’s open backstroke 100m
3rd places went to
Sarah in Ladies open invidual medley
Adam in Boys 11 and under butterfly 50m
Nearly all other placings were 5th, 6th and 7th – with only one disqualification.
