This was a very exciting gala. The third round was drawn differently from the previous two rounds, in that it grouped the clubs according to the results in the previous two galas. We were sitting in 17th Place, so were in the last group of 8. We also hosted this gala, which was very stressful! But we seemed to manage most of what we had to do quite well. We won the gala, by 20 points in the end – so many, many congratulations to all swimmers who were a fantastic team and supported each other so brilliantly throughout the evening. Also thanks to all parents and coaches who helped on the desk , with scoring, time-keeping– Sarah, Maggie, Chelsea, Sylvia, Ildiko, Mark and Jayne, Matthew, Karen, Pauline, Kate and especially Rob, who put a huge amount of time into overseeing smooth running of the gala. Also to Verena and Sylvia’s daughter for taking round the drinks so beautifully.
